So this week we heard the terrible news that J.R Rotherhams has gone into administration. This is such a shame that a company with that much history goes to the gutter. Apart from the 250 employees losing out on jobs the company had a deep history. Rotherham's had been around since the 1920's and made a lot of headstone for soldiers from the war!
You may or may not know that Rotherhams used to supply and fit Wren's kitchen worktops so obviously at the minute there is a lot of delays and problems with existing customers getting their granite or quartz through wrens. If you are in the North East, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Durham, Teeside, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and have paid for a worktop via Wrens and are having problems then come and see us at R.O Surfaces. We have already helped out 3 customers this week who have been in a similar situation. Having worktops cancelled or rearranged 3 and 4 times because of the delays and backlogs.
We've had a manic week as usual this week with a dekton job going into Jesmond, a Corian job up into Ashington, 1 silestone quartz worktop going into low fell and 2 Caeserstone jobs in Gosforth we are mad bus at the minute and long may it continue. We've also invested again and now have a state or the art laser template machine and a new 5 axis CNC machine just waiting on the engineer to have a final visit to give us the training early next month!
We are also off to Lapitec in Italy in March for some training there as we are pushing on with all of our porcelains and sintered stones we are working with the best manufactures in the word, getting the best training and giving you the best service!! So keep checking in with us to see what we've got planned!! Even though we've been working with these materials for years now we still strive to be the best with what we can achieve with these materials
