to waterfall or not to waterfall??

Here at R.O Surfaces we are often asked if we think the waterfall edges can be done in quartz, granite as well as corian, staron etc, in short yes!!
They work great if have picked a vein material and the material allowance lets us drop the leg from one run so that the vein runs along the top and down to the floor, however this cant be achieved on every job sometimes due to size sometimes budget etc.
We think they create a great feature as in the picture above of a recent install of marble effect quartz installed in Whickham, Gateshead. This drop leg has enabled us to create a sitting area we did have to install some steel work first but we made the worktops extra deep so that the steelwork is hidden so youd never know!!!!!
We are currently fabricating a huge Corian job like this too, we have made a corian table with a drop leg and steel supports that is 3 meters long!! Other solid surfaces lend them selves well to this as well LG Hi-Macs, Staron and Hanex, not so much with materails such as mistral and Mia as they are already 25mm blacks (where the worktop is already cut to size)
Weve had some stunning jobs going out the last week and one of our busiest periods ever!! Weve had one Zimbabwe black granite in a polished finish going into Birtley
one Zimbabwe black in a leathered finish going into a property in Blaydon with upstands and full height splashback
a 20mm Silestone quartz job with a downdraft extractor going into Sunderland again with full height splashbacks
3 of our own brand Quartz R.O Snow similar to stellar blanco and Aspen ice going into Ponteland, Killingworth and Tynemouth
and 2 of our own Calacatta quartz going into Medburn and Whitley bay.
Weve also been appointed the only fabricators for 2 new trade customers in cumbria and lakedistrct and one in South Shields
Onwards and upwards
